: Patch Yourself

Tree of Life blog: DIY Patch Jeans

You may have noticed the patch trend... we have and we are loving how it easy it is to add a pop of colour and a hint of attitude to old (or new!) clothing, be it a pair of jeans, denim jacket or plain white tee.

We are giving an old pair of Levis a new lease on life with our packs of patches, using a fun mix of colours to really make them stand out.Tree of Life blog: DIY Patch Jeansx5966-media_04

What you'll need...

- A pair of denim jeans or jacket
- 10-20 Iron-on Patches
- Iron & ironing board

What to do...

Start by laying out your jeans and planning where you want to place your patches. We recommend doing this on the ironing board so once you are happy with their position, there is no need to move anything. When you are happywith the position, start ironing on the patches.

Place your patch in the desired position and place a cloth (like a handkerchief or pillowcase) over top.Press the iron down firmly for 30-40 seconds. To reinforce, turn the garment inside out and iron the opposite side for 20-30 seconds.

Repeat this with all of your patches until you are happy with the look. We believe more is more and went patch crazy, focusing on the upper thighs, front and back. Style it with a soft flowing top and sandals to finish the look!

For longer lasting results, we recommend washing the garment inside out and getting out a needle and thread and stitching around edges of the patch to lock in place.
