Wandering: Store Sessions Manly
Manly is the place to be during the Summer months, with a laid-back beachy vibe we can’t help but love. We asked our Manly store manager Ruth for some tips on styling the latest collection and her favourite places around the beach suburb.
What are your styling tips for the collection?
My styling tips for the collection is to team our romantic floaty skirts with some badass boots, a bandeau or a super cool band tee and a cool hat, layer up with a choker necklace and keep make up to a minimum. Or rock one of our beautiful new velvet dresses with some simple sandals and let it speak for itself! This collection is feminine and sultry but I always like to add a bit of grunge and as Manly has got such a chill vibe I find less is more. Although I’m obsessed with the new velvet duster! Pair that with denim shorts and a band tee and instant outfit goals are achieved.
How do you relax in Manly?
The best ways to relax in Manly is head to any of the beaches with your book, a group of friends or an acai bowl from Bare Naked Bowls and soak in the sun. Another way I like to relax is walking my dog from the dog park in Queenscliff to Shelley beach, it’s always a beautiful walk no matter what the weather is doing.
What are some hidden treasure in Manly?
I would have to say Little Manly beach. It’s just up the hill from the wharf and only the locals know about it so it’s always quiet and it has the most amazing view. Another hidden treasure in Manly has to be the second hand book shop on Sydney Road. It’s a little hole in the wall shop but you can swap your books or buy new ones for almost nothing!
What are your favourite cafes/bars in the area?
My favourite cafe where I get my coffee every morning is Market Lane Cafe, they have the most amazing fresh muffins as well! Dolce Terra is my fave lunch spot with their amazing fresh salads every day and so many different options you can’t go past it! Best two bars have to be Donny’s bar who have live music most nights and the most amazing cocktails and Glasshouse above The Steyne whose cheese boards and Gin and Tonics have to be the best in Manly.
Chelsey and Kara also enjoyed lunch at vegan cafe Native Feel Real
