Wardrobe: Store Sessions Gold Coast
Near the heart of the Gold Coast, our Pacific Fair store is a go-to for locals and travellers alike. The tribe share their hot styling tips as well as local treasures in the area!
When styling in your Tree Of Life store, what are your go-to styling tips?
1. Be bold in a statement jacket – shake off the cold weather blues in a bright or embellished jacket. The sky might be grey and gloomy, but your outfit doesn’t have to be!
2. Earrings – the bigger the better!!! I love how dramatic big earrings look! They help to frame your face, and add something special to an outfit.
3. Fashion is fun, play around! I love how you can really express who you are with fashion, and how your look and style can change to reflect how you are feeling. I love playing around with different styles, channeling my inner 80’s rock chick one day, boho goddess the next!!
What are your favourite cafes / bars / restaurants in the area?
All of us Gold Coast Tree girls are BIG fans of Mandala Organic Arts Cafe in Mermaid. They have a beautiful garden and art space. Their food is 100% free from animal products and tastes AMAZING!!
Our favs would have to be their vegan nachos with cashew cheese, and Cheeky Tuesdays with all you can eat pizza.. YUM!!
Miami Marketta is also another fav, with delish street food, live music and cute market stalls.
What are some hidden treasures in your area?
Rare Groove in Nobbys is vinyl heaven. They have lots of new and second hand records.. and will even do repairs on old broken records.
Our fav hidden oasis to cool off in in summer is the Tallebudgera Valley rock pools and rope swing… it’s exact location is a secret (shhhhh!!!), but we will let you know that it’s nestled at the bottom of Springbrook national park and they don’t call it Araluen swimming hole for nothing!! it’s well worth the day trip… there’s a little grassy area that’s perfect for a picnic.
How do you relax in your suburb?
I’m lucky enough to live just down the road from the Botanic Gardens in Benowa. Most weekends my husband and I will head down to spend a little time communing with nature haha!
They have beautiful sensory gardens, where the perfume of lavender bushes and exotic herbs fill the air.. I love to look for beautifully coloured Lady Beetles hidden in the rose gardens.
In summer you’ll find us chillin’ down at Currumbin Creek. It’s the perfect place to soak in some rays and cool down with a dip… and if you’re lucky you might even catch a glimpse of some dolphins cruising past with the stand up paddle boarders!
