Daydreams: Moon Sisters
A group of women gathered in the beautiful twilight to pay homage to the full moon, the stars, nature, and to celebrate female strength, friendship and diversity.
As the winter solstice approaches in the Southern Hemisphere our thoughts turn to renewal. Since the beginning of the year photographer Brooke Elizabeth has been joined by a cast of women of all shapes and sizes and from a range of backgrounds to honour the moon and celebrate the goddess that resides in each one. The gatherings are in part a way to contest the messages that women are bombarded with through social media which judges us, and leads us to judge ourselves, through narrow beauty standards. She says “the idea is to celebrate who we are, our bodies and femininity – our inner goddess”.
