Wardrobe: Free Love Launch Party
A behind the scenes look at the launch of Free Love.
Hosted by Studio Tropico in Byron Bay, we gathered for a night of sisterhood, empowerment and celebration.
Here’s a few words from our Founder Wendy Borthwick on the launch:
“Tree of Life has always made freesize clothing designed to fit women size 16 plus. It is part of our core philosophy to be inclusive, and has always been our intention to make clothes to fit and flatter all women regardless of shape or size or age.
“Some seasons the fashion trends make this easier than others. There was a time when free flowing garments were at the forefront of fashion, garments that could be worn by a variety of sizes. A very relaxing for us – everyone was happy! But in recent times more fitted garments have come into trend.
“We started to get comments, complaints, pleas. There has been an increasingly vocal demand for beautiful boho garments to fit larger sizes. But not just kaftans and kimonos. This is why we decided to relaunch our freesize initiative (which began in the early 1990’s), rebrand it, give it a lot more prominence, focus and design love. Enter Free Love.”
